Ruination: The Upheaval - Discussion

Well, I was hoping for at least Harpy to have a chance, but that's out of the question now. But, I guess this is better than just abandoning the tournament completely. Though, this has been much more than just a sick EO. There has been way too much drama over results, other tournaments (which I have Zero interests in participating in), and, of course, disagreements over the rule set (which I thought I've understood-and had not an issue with). I can't really pin it on any one thing, but I've overall not been too happy with my results throughout this event.

So with that, this has been my last ARC tournament. Hey, I joined back in late 2015 and it's been fun and all, but I feel that now is the time to move on. I may stick around Reddit if that continues to be a thing and, of course, the main BB chat. I'll still be competing IRL, as well.

Tie-breaker week is finished, and the Quarter-Finals are ready to go.

For the post-season, the arena will be the Battlegrounds, but the hazards will be turned off. No third-party help for you here, prove to the masses that you and you alone can win. If you don't like that, keep in mind that I always intended the play-offs to be in a hazardless arena, and I actually had a plan to render a new arena for the play-offs... but then this crap happened. So... yeah. Deal with it.

Get your RPs in, guys.

Dammit, not Tax Cutter again -- and with no hazards, either. :-/

Never mind, at least there's the other two matches. La Valette in particular will be tough, but I feel that Dreamcast Ninja Waifu has a shot at it. :P

Quarter-final shit is up, except for Robotnik vs. Nick's Fuzzy Rules. That'll have to be written and go up some time in the near future.

Well, one out of three isn't bad, I guess -- just about managed to scrape together a win for Marauder, and LI3 kind of went out the same way I expected it to, though at least it did put up more of a fight than last time. Fuck La Valette though, I honestly thought I had what it took to beat that cheap piece of garbage..

Mkay the results are all in, and the semi-finals are up. Let's get this stupid thing finished up before TapaTalk decides to delete over 10 years worth of ARC. :v:

Oh whoa! I won! I won two fights! That's... a really pleasant surprise.

The Pico vs Sundance writeup was hella balls to the wall awesome, BTW.

Looking forward to the next round! Some tough ones there (as well as another chance to wreck Laz). Thanks for getting this back going!
