Spitfire vs Necroblade

Post by The Monsterworks » Sat Mar 16, 2019 9:43 pm

I'm Ghostwriting for Dylan here.

Necroblade: 6 speed / 5 traction / 1 torque / 13 weapon / 5 armour

vs.

Spitfire: 6 speed / 6 traction / 2 torque / 6 weapon (4/4 clamp/flamer) / 10 armour

What's Necroblade? A control spinner, so it's about time it started acting like one. I'm every bit as fast, so he's not going to be able to smother me and I don't auto-lose aggression as the spinner here. I deal three damage to him anywhere I hit, and four if my undercutting blade catches those little wedge prongs or his lifter/clamp when it's up, which could really do some warping. In fact, it fits so snugly into his bot that a bit of warping should jam it, making him permanently more vulnerable to my weapon.

The crux of my plan is to just come out, avoid the OOTA and hazards, and aggressively attack him. Smack him backwards into hazards, into walls, maybe into the Gulag, and just keep piling up damage. Whenever I'm not spun up or need time, then just use my equal speed to run temporarily, always in reverse with my weapons till facing him, and then go from matador to bull the moment that my weapon is spun up or sometimes, unpredictably, just a bit after or a touch early to throw him off and avoid predictability.

Whenever I'm wedged, j-hook off immediately. Try to avoid the hazards, but they're pool noodles here anyways. Drive smart, adjust, stay aggressive when spinning and give myself space when not.

Good luck!
