VENGEANCE

George scans his records and it seems as if Sikander initiated three other simultaneous teleports to a certain underground location... the energy involved suggests it wasn't including your draco-lich friend, at teleporting a being of that size would take considerably more energy.

George taps into as much data as he can and his analysis suggests the location in question is some kind of underground base hidden beneath a bowls club in one of the leafier suburbs of the city.

BEAR IN MIND
The Bees are not really sold on this plan, but realising that it will hopefully lead to them getting what they want they make a counter offer:

"We want to make a counter offer to that. We will allow it if it isn't damaged in any way in the process AND if we have several of our most reputable bees accompanying it at all times to ensure that it is treated with proper respect!"

Meanwhile, on consulting both Paddington III and some various Mad Science Town people, they suggest a full spectrum of magical, cosmic, molecular, chemical and biological tests. The mad scientists have a machine that could detect any anomalies in any of these regards and then work out what they are. [/quote]"Bees, I will do with this honey as I see with and return it only when I find that fitting! Bears, we go to Mad Science Town and do all the research they suggest! For science!"

and off they go

BEAR IN MIND
Bear in Mind and his associates head off to Mad Scientist Town, and by the time he gets there the news feeds are literally abuzz with this Bee story. The various news outlets have different takes on it, with some suggesting that this is in keeping with Melded's long history of loot being a protected activity. However, news groups on both wings of the political spectrum take BiM and the Bears Sans Frontiers to task for this - the right not being very fond of your socialistic tendencies anyway, the Left criticising your effective theft of the most important missing piece of missing heritage for an entire genus of beings. As a result, you feel people perceiving you as crueler and more calous, and you form shifts to slightly more menacing.

Either way, when you get to the lab the results come back fairly swiftly: This honey contains a "key" of sorts to access knowledge of the sum totality of all knowledge ever possessed, somehow encoded into it at the quantum level. If you were to consume the honey (and it would have to be the full amount) you could look for a piece of knowledge within yourself, regardless of whether or not anyone who knows it still lives. Each time you use it, it would drain a fifth of your life force, and it requires uninterrupted meditation, the more obscure the knowledge, the longer, but life force regenerates over time... one question would probably regenerate in a week.

"Good. That means only one extra body to bring with us. We'll smash Gurdy out of the castle, then rendezvous with the others under the bowls club. We are still the Guild of Nefariousness! No man, woman or dragon-creature left behind, Darksein be damned!"

Saddle up, George! It's time to throw down the gauntlet!"

VENGEANCE

As Vengeance rockets towards the castle at high speed, cape billowing behind him he sees the fortress hanging almost nonchalantly in the sky just ahead of him.... Then even as he begins to make the final approach suddenly a translucent blue shield thunks up before him and he is forced to make a sharp turn to dodge it. A nearby pigeon is not nearly so lucky and goes straight through it.... and exits the other side as a series of wafer thin cross sections which flop disturbingly down and back out the shield at the bottom resulting in pigeon mince showing the streets below. There is a slight static as if from speakers and then....

EVERYONE CURRENTLY IN THIS DIMENSION

A booming voice is suddenly transmitted through every speaker in the city connected to the infonet in any way. Televisions, computers, phones, robots, androids, holo projectors and more.

"Greetings to you City of Melded. My name is Sikander and I currently have control of the Castle of Doomforall. As it stands I have access to the basic functions of this intriguing structure, but as a Combatant in the current tournament, I would like to access the full range of it's abilities. I do however have more than enough firepower to do significant damage to Melded, and so I offer citizens of Melded a bargain.

Bring me, dead or alive, either of the beings known as Sasha Burrows or Bear in Mind and I will give you 1 Billion credits for each. I will also refrain from blowing up sections of the City. Similarly, I put a bounty on Professor Vengeance for 500 Million credits.

I give the other arbiters a choice - work with me in ending this contest, or I will add bounties to your heads too.

"Mad Scientists, the bees claim the honey is rightly theirs, your analysis says nothing about that. Is there anything you can do to support or falsify their claim? A historical analysis?"

BEAR IN MIND
The Scientists confirm that it is indeed honey produced by bees and that everything about it matches the description of the legendary honey, but given that you are asking them to confirm whether this object is the same one as from myth, there is no way of saying yes for certain.

"Only half-price?! Well, now, that's just petty!

George, change of plan! It's going to take too long figuring a way through that stuff and time is short! Let's get the Guild back together, bring them back to the surface and put out an emergency broadcast of our own; Limited trial membership to the Guild of Nefariousness, open to all beings of all species and all alignments! Permanent status and every gem in the treasury to the being who helps us wipe that accursed cranium from the face of reality! I don't mind. We always steal more.

But first, let's use another nano-warp to get Gurdy back to full strength. If I can't bust the old girl out herself, I can at least give her a chance to do it herself."

VENGEANCE
Vengeance uses the Mock M'Krann crystal and manages another nano-warp with the aim of fixing the Draco-lich. There is a deep roar from the depths of the castle, which suggests that it has gone successfully, however, you perhaps suspect that she will wait for you to make a move on the castle to synchronize your attacks.

George puts out the message, and wants to know whether you want to meet with these villains or just turn them loose on Sikander - ineffective as that may be with the current shield up.

Meanwhile, you arrive at the Pleasant Greens Bowls Club and head on through, only to find every pair of elderly eyes in the place tracking you with a hint of menace...

RICHFIELD, CYRUS, DURG AND THE BEING
Even as they loiter around in the park, you suddenly hear a voice in a thick New York accent....

"Hey... it's that girl the voice told us to kill! One billion credits reward!? Let's get her!"

The group turns to face a quartet of would be assassins who are eyeing up Sasha - a 12 foot tall being armoured in slices of really cheesy pizza who appears to the source of the voice, a creature like a griffon but made of scarlet macaw and polecat, a woman with huge staplers for hands and a wizard who shouts his identity as "the world's greatest ham-o-mancer"

"Good afternoon. I'm pest control. I'm here to remove the criminal masterminds in your basement. Here is a diamond each. We were never here.

Come, George! Oh, and I think you misheard me earlier. 'Open to all beings of all species and all alignments', I said. I didn't just want you to advertise just to 'our kind'.

I want you to invite...everyone."

TELLU
Talking to the chimera, Tellu finds out the following:

He was head chef aboard this ship, had worked on it all his life and had recently become a grandfather. He's pretty old for his species, approximately 85 chimera years and comes off as something of a curmudgeon.

VENGEANCE
One of the senior citizens steps forward with an unpleasant cold smirk.

"Aye, we know who ye are Vengeance. Kinda hard to go incognito when ye face is plastered all over churches. Sikander said ye might be stopping by, and that we should give you a warm bowls club welcome."

Four elderly men step forward and you note that they appear to have unusually sinewy frames and move with a quiet confidence. Then the bowls clutched in their hands suddenly begin to ignite with energies... one with fire... one with lightning, one sparks electricity while the last one pulses with a sickly green light...

"Oh, this is degrading...

Right! Cane to club mode, crystal whip on standby and aim for the knees! George, get broadcasting! All frequencies, all mediums, all comers welcome! Good, bad, neutral, human, Zygon, telephone sanitizer! Just get the word out!"

VENGEANCE
Vengeance dodges sideways as a high powered flaming bowl careens at force, blasting through the wall behind him just to his right, with as much power as if it had been launched from a cannon, splintering the plasterboard easily. More disconcertingly, a few moments later, it arcs back around creating a new hole, catching Vengenace in the back sending him flat on his face. He manages to blast a section of the ceiling above the elderly gentlemen, causing a plume of dust to spray over the ancient assailants, giving him time to get behind a pillar.

A quick switch to club mode even as a lightning charged ball rockets past him, and he lets out a fake painful yelp causing two of the men to approach either side of the pillar , at which point he lashes out at their kneecaps followed by a sharp impact to their foreheads, knocking them unconcious.

"Not bad, not bad! I can see why you have so much respect in our villain community, if we weren't being paid so well it might have been fun to henchman for you!" Even as he says this, the ice ball ricochets off the floor beneath you, freezing the floor and causing you to slide out into the open...

George chooses this point to announce "You have 91 beings who have replied to your messge!"

"Your enthusiasm for chasing absurd bounties is admirable, but in this case is also incredibly foolish. I'm afraid if you do try to make an attempt on her life things are not going to end very well for you."

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.
