That's pretty cool. It reminds me a lot of VIPER 01 from Robot Wars S5 with the body shape and the weapon, especially when it had the pickaxe on the back instead of the disc.

it's certainly not invertable but might be able to self-right depending on how far back the claw thing rotates

I still can't render crushers either, really :P

why do i spend time on this[/quote]I do like this one, actually- I can always appreciate a pretty decent wedge lifter. :P

In all seriousness though, it definitely reminds me a lot of a modernised version of Inquisitor Mk2 from RW Series 3. If you could include some way to stop robots from driving over the top of the wedge (IE. Marauder's one-way spikes), it could actually be quite a solid contender.

For everyone saying his bots are too long... I'd point out Bronco, New Cruelty, Biohazard, Vladiator, War Machine, Minion, and many, many others. Are they going to turn on a dime? No. But if you value stability and being able to quickly maneuver in a straight line, there is nothing wrong with a long wheel base. What I would however point out is unrealistic dimensions in regard to total size versus height. Either that bot is huge and 600 pounds or armored with paper, or there's no way a motor capable of moving it is going to fit.

For some reason the board showed me page one of this thread as if it was the most recent, and I responded to that.

That's probably because you've been gone for so long :v:

So, you staying around? Maybe entering a tournament again?

<div class='spoiler_toggle'>robot name</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">BattleBots is an offshoot of the original American version of Robot Wars, the brainchild of Marc Thorpe. Robot Wars had financial backing from Sm:)e communications, a New York record company. The Thorpe/Sm:)e partnership broke up in 1997, starting many years of legal wrangling between Thorpe and Profile Records (the former Sm:)e communications). Profile licensed Robot Wars to a UK production company and Robot Wars ran for seven years as a popular television program in the UK.

The robot builders left behind in San Francisco formed BattleBots, Inc. and began a series of competitions. The first was held in Long Beach, California in August 1999 and streamed online, attracting 40,000 streams. Lenny Stucker, a television producer known for his work on telecasts of professional boxing, was in attendance, and showed interest in being involved with BattleBots
