OSCARC 2019

OSCARC 2018 was pretty damn fun, so why not do it again? We're midway through 2020, so we’ve had plenty of time to reflect on 2019, and what it brought for ARC: from the dominance of Hellhound, to the emergence of Abyss and CIRCUTZ (99% sure I spelled that wrong) and so much more. It’s time to look back, recollect and hand out some awards!
Rules are same as last time: any member of the board can nominate one item for each category. If someone's already voted for that item, your vote acts as a 'confirmation'. Once each category has at least three nominated and confirmed items, or once it's clear that there won't be anymore nominations incoming, it'll be put to a vote on strawpoll, with the winners announced after one day of voting.
OSCARC 2019 Categories
Best Looking Bot (the coolest looking bot that fought or was rendered in 2019)
TBD
Best Fight (between the RPs, the flow of the match, the stakes, and the entertainment value of the writeup)
TBD
Most Successful Bot (who won the most and, more importantly, who won when it counted)
TBD
Meta Influencer (which bot influenced the meta most this year?)
TBD
Most Successful Team (between all events and bots, which team came out ahead the most)
TBD
Rookie of the Year (which rookie team enjoyed the most success?)
TBD
Breakout Team (which veteran team upped the ante and took the next step?)
TBD
Best Meme (whether it was a bot, a fight, a pithy response, or something else, what was most memorably funny?)
TBD
Favourite Event (which event did you enjoy participating in or watching the most?)
TBD
Favourite Arena (which arena did people most enjoy fighting in this year?)
TBD
Upset of the Year (the least-expected result that ultimately made sense)
TBD
Biggest Surprise Run (a bot that nobody expected to win much that did just that)
TBD
Bot of the Year (the bot that best combined success in the arena with looks with meta influence and originality)
TBD
