Maybe not?

2-part Flipper cluster. Dark coloured one is Souryuu, White on is Hiryuu. Wedgelets are removable and I can use the outer two, inner two, all four, or none. The flipper plate is the large blueish rectangle on the bot if it wasn't obvious.

Somewhere between Scorpios/Sawblaze and Pat's bot from the last Whodunnit, have a hammer saw to test out these new rules.
Will also have an attachable plow that isn't made yet.

TEAM WORST SWORDSMAN INBOUND!

FW: §ilcrow
§ilcrow pictures
Speed: 10 | Traction: 8 | Torque: 1 | Weapon: 5 | Armour: 6 (+1 front wedge)| 4WD | Hinged wedge w. forks

§ilcrow is a fast - very, VERY fast - compact 4WD vertical bar spinner with a hinged wedge. Someone's been watching Battlebots recently, haven't they. In any event, while the weapon has all the damaging power of an overcooked pot noodle that's been left in the back of the fridge for a month, the real power here is in the drivetrain. High speed and reasonable control means it can flank most opponents and win on aggression and control rather than raw damage, though against deathspinners, one wrong move and we're toast. Then again, that's true for pretty much anyone who didn't enter a brick. =]

LW: GPODAWUND
GPODAWUND pictures
ImageImageImage
Speed: 7 | Traction: 6 | Torque: 1 | Weapon: 5 | Armour: 11 | 2WD | Fixed wedge

GPODAWUND takes the design ethos of featherweight entry §ilcrow and ROBOT2 bad ideas machine Hobart, and then goes in completely the opposite direction. It favours a low-power, high-torque eggbeater drum and enough armour to survive global thermonuclear war. Its fast drivetrain and removable wedge plates on the front allow it to take on spinners and beat them at their own game, and its weapon, while not hugely powerful, is able to fling its opponents around as might a flipper. Of note, however, is the sideskirts - they're far from perfect, but it does mean that exposing a side is a little less awful a prospect for the robot. It's a tough little machine designed for speed and staying power, so here's hoping there's a little more feeling dangerous and a little less 0-16. =]

MW: DRAGONFIST
Dragonfist picture
ImageImage
Speed: 3 | Traction: 1 | Torque: 1 | Weapon: 16 | Armour: 9 | 2WD | Full-body spinner

With revisions to the internals making it a lot more reliable - we had a lot of time on our hands for redesign work after being struck down with illness during ROBOTS 3 - Dragonfist is back and better than ever! Team Worst Swordsman's most successful robot is returning with its weird combination of horizontal flails and shell spinning. The weaponry now hits quite a lot harder, and we were able to skimp a bit on armour to get the shell up and running at full damage capacity. With the power turned up, Dragonfist is here to show people once again that flail meta is best meta. =]

Speed: 6 | Traction: 4 | Torque: 3 | Weapon: 7 (5 turret / 5 lifter) | Armour: 10 (+2 lifter) | 4WD | Omni-Directional Assault Spatula

Tabor has been a robot of continuous and constant improvement. The old girl's design has been improved and iterated on constantly for several competition cycles, and now she's even made a post-season appearance in a competitive heavyweight field during CBC3. Okay, she lost immediately, but that's not the point. With a new and experimental hydraulic shock absorber built into the scoop attachment points, the wheelbase redesigned, and the chassis redesigned to make sure the turret section could press and lift at any angle without catching on corners, Tabor should have had a shakedown at ROBOTS 3. That... well, that didn't go so well. But she's here now, and maybe, just maybe, this time it'll be her year.

Call Life Alert now, big man.

I fucking dare you.

Alex V is return and you are on the way to destruction

FW - Octopus Has No Friends
Image
The tale of Octopus has, undoubtedly been a tragic one. Once an average caephalopod, he was the sole survivor of a nuclear waste spillage in the sea where he lived... but at the terrible cost of mutating an enormous horrifying bar spinner into his face. Octopus wandered the seas in search of a new home for the longest time... but everyone he ever tried to introduce himself to would all accidentally meet messy deaths by getting too close. Thus, he became a social pariah: and just when he began losing all hope, Octopus saw an opportunity in Thunderground to make use of his disfigurement. So long story short, now he's going to take his long-held anger out out on you!

Speed: 1
Traction: 1
Torque: 1
Weapon: 16 (Reversible Vertical Spinner with interchangeable standard or asymmetrical bars)
Armour: 11

Notes: Rubber-treaded wheels and support brackets are large enough to hold the bar far enough off the ground to spin freely, and are made of very strong and flexible UMHW: designed to flex and retain their shape rather than breaking or shattering upon heavy impacts. Is named after the song Octopus Has No Friends, by Mastodon.

LW - Ayame
Image
The Cherry Blossom Dancer of ARC returns... And this time, in actual polygons! Still named and themed after Ayame, the street performer-turned-kunoichi from the rather kickass fighting game series Power Stone, this peppy little rear-hinged flipper comes back again to show off her awesome ninja skills.

She still has the yukata sleeve-like rounded panels and thick armour all-over for maximum defence, very powerful 2WD with raised rear wheels for maximum speed and agility, and of the course the pneumatic flipper; designed with the ability to combo and easily self-right even with minimal gas in mind, and now has additional versatility with a lower sawtooth wedge (ala Black Diamond) for flippers, and an anti-overhead frame as variable options. So both as cute and as deadly as ever! What more could you ask for? :P

Speed: 8
Traction: 7
Torque: 2
Armour: 11
Weapon: 2 (Pneumatic Flipper running on Low Pressure, with optional sawtooth wedge and anti-overhead frame, shown below)
Image

Notes: Can quickly and effectively self-right. Raised rear wheels give her the ability to easily drive off wedges, and the weight is spaced mostly at the front and where the wheels are; not enough to affect the turning, but enough to prevent her from rearing up and doing wheelies. Has a Dreadnought-like layer of armour just under the flipper for additional protection, and the rest of the flipper is under the thicker panels at the front (including the corners), so even if the lower panel breaks, it'll still work with the rest of it underneath.

MW - Jackal
Image
Fresh from its rather good run in CBC3, ICR's original title winner returns to show all the younger bots how he kicked ass in his day! Still based on the all-in-one Sewer Snake-like lifter and overhead flipper/srimech/clamp hammer design, it's been updated with a lower and much more heavily-armoured chassis and front scoop, stronger torque/acceleration, and improved versatility from both a stronger top bar and an interchangeable Anti-Vert setup with an armoured jackal head-shaped scoop and Diesector-esque hammers.

Speed: 6
Traction: 5
Torque: 4
Armour: 13
Weapon: 2 (Bi-Rotational Electric Lifting Scoop with Overhead Flipper/Srimech/Clamp/Hammer Bar running off the same mechanism. Can be switched for an Anti-Vert Jackal Head and dedicated Hammer Setup.)

Notes: Completely invertible, and can also self-right using the top bar when necessary. The Primary and Secondary Weapons are run off the same mechanism (As demonstrated by Luzifer here; http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... ifer_2.jpg), enabling them to bypass the Multiple Weapon Rule. Is named and themed after the MWMIK 'Jackal' armoured vehicle, currently in service with the British Army.

HW - I.C.R. Speedwagon
Image
Here he comes, here comes Speedwagon: he's a demon on wheels! Making its grand return to the starting grid from last time, the futuristic racer-themed bot has been modified to iron out the issues from last time: the chassis is now shorter and it's gone down from 4WD to 2WD to improve its agility/manoeuvrability and make its wedges lower. It's also got some nice neon lighting in its (faux) air intakes and underside to give the impression that it's floating, but it still maintains its unique double flippers and strong drivetrain and armour. He's gaining on you, so you'd better look alive!

Speed: 7
Traction: 5
Torque: 3
Weapon: 4 (twin flippers, running on 3 power each. One rear-hinge, one front-hinge.)
Armour: 11

Notes: Can self-right with either type of flipper as needed. Runs on 2WD, and the rear wheels protrude out back slightly to allow the machine to easily drive off wedges as needed. Has a replica "Beep-Beep" horn installed -- based on that of a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner -- that can be set to sound when it goes on the attack, ala Roadblock and its two-tone Police Siren in Robot Wars Series 2.

Diagram below shows where the flippers respectively are:

Running all weight classes. Will also offer to write, as well.

FW: Red Dragon

An old design that I had sitting around for god knows how long now. Figured I'd dust it off and give it a shot...

Image

2WD grabber/flamethrower. Can self-right

STATS: SPD-7 // TRA-6 // TOR-2 // WPN-3 // ARM-12

LW: The Thieving Magpie

Image
(area denoting where weapon armor bonus is applied)

2WD rear-hinged pneumatic flipper-can OOTA opponents over relatively low walls & easily self-right.

STATS: SPD-7 // TRA-6 // TOR-2 // WPN-5 // ARM-10

MW: Harpy

Image

Image

Nachtfalke's little Sister...4WD ramming 'brick'-can run inverted (though a bit less effective when running inverted with the plow). Both spikes/plow are hinged.

Stats: SPD-8 // TRA-7 // TOR-3 // WPN-0 // ARM-12

HW: Death Metal

A bot with a black soul darker than even the darkest of realms

After coming just short of winning the HW division in ROBOTS3, you bet I made some improvements...in the form of multiple weapon bars!

Killer of wedges:

Image

Standard hardened S7 weapon bar config-this has the longest reach combined with weapon power and a sharp cutting edge for those shallow wedge types. This bar is also symmetrical and can run either direction during the match.

Blunt force trauma:

Image

Titanium bar with hardened S7 teeth. The bot can also run inverted in this config to gain some 'height' in its attack.

Both above configs will carry the statline of: SPD-4 // TRA- 2 // TOR-1 // WPN-16 // ARM-7

Armor up:

Image

A shorter and lighter bar to make way for a bit more armor for high-power overhead weapons.

SPD-4 // TRA- 2 // TOR-1 // WPN-15 // ARM-8 (+1 blade)

Big Friggin Wedge option(s)

Speed: 8 Traction: 7 Torque: 3 Weapon: 0 Armour: 12
Two-wheel drive Pushy Bot with buckets of drive! It comes with interchangeable front end set-ups, one being the big Tanto style Wedgelets and the other being a big ol’ wedge with removable Wedgelets. Not only that but it also comes with interchangeable stopper options for the top and bottom, one option being Four light stoppers like the real Tanto and the other being Two heavy-duty stoppers, a bit like Goosfraba Steel’s.

Lightweight:Duck Stab!
Image
Another reference to The Residents? Absolutely! Whilst you where all focussing on the HUGE clones in the Featherweight class I was making mine for the Lightweights! The wheels are made of UHMW with an outer rubber tread for maximum flexibility on impact. The weapon has bi-directional ESC so it can spin upwards like a Vert or downwards like a nasty Hammer! The rear, supports are also made of UHMW for flexibility. The standard wheels can be changed for solid ones for fighting HSs and the like.
Speed: 2/ Traction: 1/ Torque: 1/ Weapon: 15/ Armor: 11
Middleweight: The Act Of Being Polite
Image
Speed: 4 Traction: 2 Torque: 1 Weapon: 16 Armour: 7
Woo, The Residents reference bot! Basic Two-wheel drive Undercutter with an internally belt-driven bar and a little dome-piece thing on said bar like Texas Twister has. The little black metal nub on the top of the bulkhead is removable so it can be ran either as an angled spinner without it or an Overcutter with it. Those black bits are just painted on, they are not removable teeth so they shouldn't fly off. The weapon should get a +4 armour bonus because it's shorter than the wheelbase and doesn't make over a third of the mass
Heavyweight: Xtreme pneumatiX

Long Wedgelet option

Many Wedgelets option
Image
Speed: 7 Traction: 6 Torque: 2 Weapon: 3 Armour: 12
Two-wheel driven LP-Pneumatic flipping arm (only the black and white bit is the arm). The drive isn’t too torquey so it shouldn’t wheelie and it doesn’t have much room to wheelie anyway with the guard on the back. Is invertible thanks to the stopper ‘horns’ on top and also has stopper eyes like it’s little brother. The flag is purely for decoration and it will come off easily. The Flipping-Arm has around about Fourty-degrees of travel.

FW: SPINNERFOOD

Image
I hope for this thing to do two things:

1. Kill bricks/control oriented bots
2. Survive against other types of bots (besides horizontal spinners and Black Dog)

And that's what this bot was designed to do. Flails for reach, a hard to attack HUGE-style chassis, invertabillity, etc. It'll be very annoying if it can't KO you, and very deadly if it can. Hopefully it'll be able to get some wheel sniping in, too. : )

5/4/1/15/5, +2 flails

LW: DO NOT CROSS (Originally RED LINE but that name was taken lel)
Image
Image
The unholy fusion of Deus Ex and WEEEEEDGE. It's a long-as-fuck 2WD flipper (note: dark red part is the flipper), that can and will YEET any bot it comes across. Either that, or it bricks your spinner shots and then YEEETS you. Hopefully.

6/5/3/5/11, +2 w00dges up to the I and the D

HW: Taskmaster V3

Image

Here's the third iteration of Taskmaster, and probably the first bot I've made that has a semi-decent render. Of course, part of it (the wedge) was ""borrowed"" from a older Hellhound model, but ignore that.

Taskmaster, as you might guess, is the same old Hellhound-brick that Taskmaster V2 was, but better. The overall package is the same: high speed, 1-power lifter, absurd armor, etc. The speed-aspect has been toned down a bit in favor of higher torque/even more armor, but the box-rushing capability is still there. It's tankier than ever, and ready to (again, hopefully) succeed in a spinner-heavy division.

Teeth are removable, and this thing is also invertable now too
(It's still a tracked lifter, not oval-wheels Ethan)

7/6/3/1/13, +1 wedge.

6WD Vertical spinner with a lifting arm that doubles as a srimech. Range of motion on the arm is 180 degrees. Hinged wedgelets on the front, pressing lifter on the back.
It has an anti-HS option, with more solid wedges to deflect HS and the lifter replaced with a pure srimech

FW - Little Labyrinth

Image

Image

Speed: 4 | Traction: 3 | Torque: 1 | Weapon: 14 | Armour: 8

This mini monster is an adaptable spinner, meaning it can act as a horizontal or vertical spinner depending on what side it is driving on. A 350mm blade powered by three brushless motors give it a great combination of power and reliability. Each wheel is powered with a brushless motor each and an on-board accelerometer detects which side the robot is driving on and alters the controls to allow for easier driving. Its' shape means it cannot be stranded and will always come back to rest on it's wheels. It has a titanium chassis with a 3mm hardox shell.

MW - Killjoy 4

Image

Image

Speed: 6 | Traction: 4 | Torque: 2 | Weapon: 10 | Armour: 8 (+2 Front wedge)

A hydraulic crusher powered by custom made dual rams for several tonnes of crushability. It has 4WD powered by four brushless motors and LiPo batteries. The front wedge is 5mm Hardox with a specially designed scoop at the top to deflect spinners away from the crusher mechanism. It also had small red wedgelets to get under opponents and skirts to stop flippers. The srimech is powered by the same rams as the crusher using steel cables. When the rams reach the last few millimetres of their stroke, the cables tense up and pull the srimech's hinge to pop it open.

HW - Vertigo 4

Image

Image

Disc Config. - Speed: 5 / Traction: 4 / Torque: 1 / Weapon: 13 / Armour: 7

Bar Config. - Speed: 5 / Traction: 4 / Torque: 1 / Weapon: 11 / Armour: 9 (+2 Front Wedge)

My REDDIT entry gets a second run with some improvements. The first is two new front wedges. The forked wedge has its' middle two forks fixed and its outer four hinged to stop anyone getting underneath. The second wedge is an Anti-spinner configuration with simpler geometry so a horizontal won't have any corners to bite into and still provide maximum wedgeness for the disc. The disc has also been improved with sharper teeth to cut through armour before the main teeth launch it. There is also an optional asymmetric bar for fighting spinners. The chassis remains unchanged with brushless 2WD, neodymium magnets in front of each wheel to counter gyro forces when turning and four brushless motors for the weapon to provide reliability and power.

Anti-Spinner configuration: Speed: 9 | Traction: 7 | Torque: 3 | Weapon: 0 | Armor: 11(+2 wedge)

Speed brick with a lifter/clamper combo or just a ridiculous amount of armor. Ever wonder what wall tastes like?

Speak of the devil, and he shall appear! Since I missed out on the REDDIT crusher rules during... actual REDDIT, I figured I'd throw this bad boy into the mix over here. Let's see how this mess goes!!
HW - Cthulhu's Creation

Lovecraftian Configuration:

Image

Image

Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Torque: 2
Weapon: 9 (8 to crusher; 1 to srimech)
Armor: 6

Ironclad Configuration:

Image

Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Torque: 2
Weapon: 6 (5 to crusher; 1 to srimech)
Armor: 9 (+3 to front wedge)

NOTE 1: Wedgelets on both configurations are removable, and my decision to do so depends entirely on whether I decide to eat breakfast Wednesday morning... you'll just have to take my word for it.
NOTE 2: The srimech is the wings on the side of the crusher, which can fully extend outward, just like Razer's.
Fly like the wind, my little horror~

Sorry for being so late with my featherweight entry. We just had a little problem at the lab. You see...

BEWARE!!

This Robot is Psychotic (TRiP)

T.hisR.obotI.sP.sychotic by Floating Castle Robotics on Sketchfab

One night, Chomp and HUGE got together and shagged. The next Halloween, this psycho little fucker appeared. As if that's not an unholy enough combination, it got into the chemicals the other day and... well, you can see the result. You are well warned to stay away from TRiP if you see it around. Give it a wide berth and retreat calmly. It is armed and dangerous.

The wheels are hollow ribbed HDPE, allowing them to flex with impacts and also to deflect attacks with their convex surfaces, denying spinners the bite they're looking for and reducing damage. The weapon is an orbital hammer that hits with murderous intent. Obviously, the 'glass' part of the 'vial' comes off in actual fights and we just get a regular-ass poisonous green hammer head. A lot of that pretty bodywork is lightweight and ablative too. The hammer is reversible, like FrenZy from the old Battlebots. The prongs out the back are similar to HUGE's. The black rectangles along the wheels are rubber treads attached for a bit better traction. Now for stats:

Psycho Configuration: 3 speed / 1 traction / 1 torque / 14 weapon / 11 armour (+1 each wheel)

Batshit Insane Configuration: 3 speed / 1 traction / 1 torque / 16 weapon / 9 armour
