Ready to lock and load, and yet I still insist on updating the renders on my bots so half of them aren't rendered in different programs.

Also, I've already talked with Monsterworks, but I will be unable to write matches until roughly mid-end November as I got into a mentorship program for mapping osu! and I'll be putting a lot of time into that. Thought I should let y'all know ahead of time and have it out in the open so it is known.
So I just opened up CMCB:U in rhino, copied everything into a new file and deleted the bottoms of everything (including minute details such as drive motors):

Then selected everything on the flipper and run it through the "Area" command rhino has to get 3.3872316 mm sq (yeah, I know mm = :headache: but bear with me here), whereas everything combined is 10.352883. 3.3872316/10.352883 = 0.32717761806, or 32.7%. Strictly speaking, that should be legal. If that's still too borderline for most then I can just have the armor bonus be the frontal portion + wedgelets and not the top.

I agree with Depression though. Not too bummed even though it "only" has 13 weapon armor now.

And this is exactly why I believe that if you have to pull up actual numbers to show that the area is less than 33%, you shouldn't get the Armour bonus. :v:

Okay, Jules. Thanks for that bit of info. The 22 rule will definitely be a thing next time, and it may become a "21 rule". Anyway, render with feet added tot he SeaDevil 2 album to comply with my own damned rules.

Eugh. The metagame is so out of whack right now. So many walkers and exploit bots in general. It's terribad. All of my actual cute and colourful robots can't repel firepower of that magnitude. If you ask me, walking deathspinners are like...

<div class='spoiler_toggle'>click for epic manifesto</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;"><big><big><big><big>Literally the Devil</big></big></big></big>

Image

Yes, it's an <del>Alexbot</del> exploitative walking indestructible fortress of death complete with an appropriate logo. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. If this doesn't make the walker bonus go the way of the dodo, I don't know what will.

Image

Looks like your fairly standard walking overhead deathspinner, right? Probably hits like a truck, but is laughably easy to stuff if you have a <del>Lazbot</del> brick. Well, it's Literally the Devil, after all, so it has a party trick. The weapon shaft is really long and the whole assembly is on a platform with pneumatics to boost it as shown below. There's a clutch to hold it in place at the top and flamethrowers in the weapon heads because spinning with fire turns it into spinning 2 win. The body is extremely dense and heavy, and the bar is made of a fairly lightweight alloy, keeping it at a reasonable weight. Its tip speed is best described as "bonkers".

Image

<big>1 speed / 1 traction / 1 torque / 19 weapon (+2: 1 each to pneumatics, clutch, and flamethrowers) / 12 armour</big>

The title is a link to the album and here's some theme music: While You were Shouting at the Devil We were in League</div>
hi. :)
