Robot Bastards 2: The New Era - Discussion

Post by GF93 » Wed Feb 01, 2017 10:30 pm

Just finished and uploaded my LW entrant, but I'm really not sure what to do for my HW entrant. I will bring back one of my other heavyweights, but I'm still not entirely sure which one. Any recommendations?

Lets be real, you are probably gonna enter one of the 12 variants of Dreadnought, aren't you.

I've got a flipper (well, flippers) in already, so I want to do something different if I can. But considering there's an OOTA Zone, it does make the idea of entering one more pretty tempting.

Time to show that I can RP for three robots in a week! reddit tournaments have me spoiled.

Alrighty, with three votes to one, I've decided to go for a scaled-up Rainbow in the Dark as my final entrant, complete with somewhat un-suckified drive. It's probably best not to ask how it's bigger, but you can get away with it on ARC. :v:

And funny you should mention Barley Picker actually Goat, since I actually am working on a rebuild of that one. Couldn't finish it in time for here of course, but you'll likely see it again some point later on in the year.

my money's on frogbot for winning the LW division, with all of the bricks and it's lowdown tongue, i can forsee some OOTA's in the near future

although it's all a matter a fact of attackfrog's driving, and tactics

for the MW division, i think whipcoil might win? dabnik has some experience under his belt and gee wee i do not want to be anywhere near those jaws

and last, but not least, for the HW division, i think death metal has it in the bag. it's fucking tombstone basically, and tombstone is basically a robotic version of doomguy. death metal will rip and tear, until it's done.

Ooooh, predictions!

LW: Eat Me fears no man :v: in seriousness though, I'm predicting either Redline or Zombie Killer to take this one. Brickity brick brick.

MW: Trump, obviously, but Whipcoil's looking pretty strong as well. Gabe's green lifter thingy with the special characters is a pretty close third.

HW: Probably Hellhound, but we have Meta Ridley and Death Metal to contend with as well. And, although this may be bad form, Avarice is looking pretty good this tournament.
