Nick is indeed correct.
I brought this exact subject up in the skype chat a few weeks ago, and i remember us talking about how it would apply as a walker, but the speed stat would dictate how quickly the weapon tilted. Or something like that.
Wolf, please refrain from posting more than once in the signup thread.

Well, I actually have two ideas.
1: Build a big, heavy ring spinner, with a single leg in the center which sticks all the way through the robot with a foot on the top and the bottom, and the leg can be raised, lowered, and moved in the pitch and jaw directions. The robot would move in a "hopping" motion, using its leg to move in any direction and using the immense angular momentum of the weapon to keep it stable.
2: Same design, but with four feet significantly off-center which can just raise and lower. Basically, it raises itself up on one foot, so the forces try to make the body tip over, but because it's spinning, it precesses. After it's gone 90 degrees, switch to the next foot, and so on.
In both cases, it can drop itself to the floor for a hit, and it has the ability to do so when an opponent is partway under it, hopping a few inches in the air and hopefully bringing its spinning mass down on top of its opponent.
I'm going to call it "Funerary Precession."

Alright! That sounds badass, and it's definitely not gyroscopic precession in the same way as Wrecks. I was actually working on something similar myself, tbh. Personally, I think that the second idea holds more potential in terms of maneuverability, stability, and reliability. However, each foot should probably count as an actuated part. The first idea is just begging to be bullied by something with either really thick armour or a low, fast, and tough wedge. However, it would probably only need to put one point into actuation.
Tentatively, I'd say that the speed should be governed by the weapon power divided by 4 rounded up or down to the nearest whole number (up if it falls on a .5). Traction would be the weapon power divided by 6, and torque would be the weapon power divided by eight. It will be applied as a bonus and not cost any stat points.
So basically, 30-4 (actuated legs) gives you 26 points and you don't have to invest in a drive train. You could potentially go 16 weapon and 10 armour and have a 4/2/2 drive train be another scary Eldritch Abomination (this also equates to 34 points). Congratulations.

I'm just curious... has anyone ever entered a 4-part cluster before? If so, has a 4 part cluster ever made the playoffs?

I made one named The Koopa Bros. which IIRC was one or two matches outside the playoffs back in Reign of Steel. Then again i didn't really pay attention to that tourney so i'm probably really wrong about how it did

I think I might have something for a house robot. I might go a bit old school to the desgpign, but that's what I do, use some old designs and make them new again
