I normally despise referring to wikipedia, and NEVER when it comes to politics, but this should be pretty informative and helpful.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Aristocrats_%28joke%29

Quote:

The Aristocrats (also known as The Debonaires or The Sophisticates in some tellings) is an exceptionally transgressive dirty joke that has been told by numerous stand-up comedians since the vaudeville era. Steven Wright has likened it to a secret handshake among comedians, and it is seen as something of a game in which those who tell it try to top each other in terms of shock value. It is rarely told the same way twice, often improvised, and was the subject of a 2005 documentary film of the same name. It is thought of as a badge of honour among expert comedians and is notoriously hard to perform successfully.

Throughout its long history, it has evolved from a clich

Awesome! How great does it feel that your 100th win comes by forfeit and not skill? =D

HA! Curse me if you like Phil, but maybe if you had won another fight elsewhere, you wouldn't have had to rely on this on as much.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

Siphai--hey, forfeits happen. Not much you can do about them. I would say less than a quarter of my career wins were forfeits, so I must be doing something right.

NWOWWE--say that all you want, but in the end, it really does come down to the one. And I think that aside from the ones I knew I'd win by forfeit, I actually put quite a bit of effort into all those RPs, so y'know, you pick one. I choose to pick the one I would have won by KO if my hammer had been functioning well enough to prop me back onto my stompers, as I thought it would.

I had a ton of fun with my RPs. Vented some anger, made some fun. And at the beginning of the season I thought this was going to be the most dangerous week of all.

Yeah, I was alittle surprised at that too. Heh, I didn't think Double Dose would be able to avoid gettin a flippin, but I guess you thought otherwise. Oh well, we both got 2 bots into the playoffs now.

The results are up and the playoffs are ready.

However, there was a problem that arose from the Some Kind of mOnser vs. Tank fight. I will discuss this with my fellow staff later. However, as of now, assume Tank as the one in the playoffs.

Everything else is ok to go, so you can also start Rping for the playoffs.

Um... what? Assume that Tank was the one in the playoffs? Are you honestly being serious here? I can give you the full story if you want, but I RP'd and Minion didn't - that's the end of the story. Yeah, I posted twice, with the second post being his RP, but that was a joke which I idiotically added because of a reason. I could divulge this reason if you want, but I would like to continue this discussion in PM.

I realize I am in the wrong here, but I hope to get this resolved.

I realize it was just a joke, and that is the whole reason Tank has a good chance to get in instead of Some Kind of Monster. I just wanted to discuss it first and it was like 2:30 in the morning when I posted the results, so I just wanted to get them up.

Your right, though. Any more comments about this issues best be left to PM.

Well, at least I finished EXACTLY .500 and not below.

Yay, Road Rage went 5-6! Yeah, I dunno what to do with him. I think I new SHW might be in order.

I never realized how tough the playoff's really are going to be, many of the bots that made it have beat me before. Are the playoff's double elimination, or single?

Oh, they'll be single, don't worry.

Why make them single? It'll only take 2 extra cards or so if you make it double.

As you can tell, I'm not a big fan of single elimination. At the last Pennbots event I won, I lost my very first match of the day against a horizontal spinner and I thought it was all over. But even though my weapon gears were grinding down to nothing, I was still able to come back and beat the spinner that I lost to, plus take out the best bot Pennbots has.
I think it'd be worth the extra few weeks to add to the excitement and uncertainty.

I'm not sure where to stand on single vs. double elim. On the one hand, I would like it because I ended up facing the two toughest 'bots in my division (Striker and Copperhead), when I thought I'd be facing Adrenaline and Jack Frost (since I thought it would be #1 vs. #3, and #2 vs. #4).

On the other hand, double elim doesn't seem very official and final. It makes it a little less tense, but that might be what we need.
