------------

So, every once in a while, I do mini-tournaments like this one.

The rules are simple, but radically different from the other types of tournies, so just to make sure everyone knows:

1) Post a picture and enter a short description of how the bot works.

2) You can choose between any two:
-Wheelpower
-Weapon Power
-Armor

Or you can make your bot a jack of all trades (in which case it will not be the best in any category, but have no major weaknesses either).

3) There are four weight classes. Same standard as the other tournaments. Everyone who plans to enter must put 1 bot into each.
Lightweights (25 kg)
Middleweights (50 kg)
Heavyweights (100 kg)
Superheavyweights (150 kg)

No bonus for walkers, tracks, or shufflers, but they can all be legally entered.

4) Finally, the way I write fights is a bit different from other tournies. I assign a probability to the outcome, say 70-30, that Robot A beats Robot B. This means that if they fought a hundred times, Robot A would win 70% of the time. Instead of writing out one fight, I'll write out several ways that could happen, and weigh the strengths and weaknesses of the bots against each other. Don't post strategies because they will be worthless. I will consider all possible strategies for both bots and the likelihood of them working.

The tournament is round-robin, and by the end, the bot with the highest winning percentage overall wins the championship.

There are extra prizes though:

-Trump Card Award - if the bot with the highest win % is not the bot that wins against the most contestants. For instance, if you had 4 bots, and one of them won two of its matchups 90-10, and another bot won 3 of its matchups 51-49, the first bot would get the championship, while the second would get the trump card.

-Worst MS Paint
-Best Render
-Most Creative Design
-The Autism award - most detailed bot description.
-The Nick Award - latest person to enter.

And The Award Award - for the person who has the best suggestion for a new award.

I'll keep the entry deadline open but I'd like to get everybody who's gonna enter... entered before the finals for Ruination are posted. I'd like this tourney to get going no later than that, so that there's continuous activity on the forum.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

Likewise, I'll draw up a few designs and see if Nick can work his 3D magic on them. In fact, it might be a good opportunity for me to bring in Marauder. :P

The WTF award. Enter a showbot that still manages to do better than a bot on Badniks team.

Thanks, man- I'll sketch up a few designs, and I'll have them ready as soon as I can.
