The Facebook page is up and I'm hoping to attract a new crowd of competitors, so everything from the previous attempt has been removed. I'll be posting a revised set of rules which will tentatively be much clearer and more concise. Thanks to everyone who supported this the first time around, and I assure you that if we can't generate more interest I will at least hold a small tournament to prove the concept and help keep things up around here.

FANTASY FURY

RULES AND REGULATIONS

New Dawn Participation Rules

In order to participate, you must enter all four weight classes as follows: Lightweight (60lb. and under), Middleweight (61-120lb.), Heavyweight (121-220lb.), and Superheavyweight (221-340lb.). When designing your bots, it is advisable to design as if you were actually trying to fall within these weight categories. Designs that are found to be too far-fetched for the weight class they intend to enter may be rejected. For example: A bot with 8 wheels and 3 weapons is almost completely out of the question for a lightweight.

Each bot must have a picture and description. The picture can be 3D or 2D CAD or an actual picture of a model (Lego or K

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

Welcome back Alex. The tournament won't take place until around November because I'll be leaving Afghanistan in the next couple of months, but I'm trying to build interest now and hopefully attract some new people with the facebook page.

Yeah, should have updated this. Due to the apparent lack of interest I haven't been working on anything lately. If Armageddon goes well however, I'll certainly consider opening sign-ups as that season comes to a close.

Bumping this for you, John. I'm actually getting entries ready with someone for a possible team-up (assumed that's allowed, of course)

Looking forward to the sign-ups opening at season's end.

Don't get your hopes up just yet, my unit keeps sending me to schools and thus far I've had no time to work on this at all.

I feared that might be the case, when you go out into battlefields and die for your country several times a day, every single day, for over a year, you don't have much time for points systems.

Hope it gets started eventually though as it has piqued my interest :)

We've still got over a month until the end of this season so maybe things will be looking more promising then. Someone else might even feel compelled to start up a tourny or league of some kind after the ARC season ends. The end of the official ARC leagues certainly leaves the door open for others to start competitions of their own.
