No one else seems to want to wager a guess so I'll say that it looks like I lost both my fights. Either way, hard to not be proud of an entire team in the play-offs and two bots in the finals. I think I may also still be the winngingest team but I didn't count to be sure.

I'd disagree , I think SWAT will take the lightweight final by a couple of points mostly due to aggression.

As for the others I would wager a guess at Force Feedback, The Dark Side of Cupid and Final Boss for a title.

Wow, 4 in the play-offs, 2 in the finals, one champion. Great season. Congrats to all the other champions and awardees as well.

At :45, you see exactly why the whole "my robot is faster and will get to the side of your robot" argument is bullshit.

That was a little out of left field, but why do you think I stopped designing bots with 360 degree defenses? I focus all of my offense and defense on one focal point and design with the intent of keeping that facing the opponent. The primary use of the speed stat for me is building power for rams and following up on spinners before they can recover.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

I just remember reading all the "I'll get to his side and pwn him because he has 5 speed and I have 7" RPs when I would participate. That is one of the main reasons I don't participate actually, is people believing stats are what matter.

I added the video because it was from an event this weekend and saw it as an appropriate example.

The guy had a shot at his side, but had trouble driving/controlling his robot. Is that the point you were trying to make?

No fantasy league is ever going to mimic the real McCoy perfectly. Doesn't make the argument total bullshit.
