Round 1: The Thwacking Head vs. Shockwave

Post by Area51Escapee » Tue Feb 09, 2010 8:45 pm

From Team Varying Everyday, we have the MW thwackot champion, The Thwacking Head! Possibly the best of the team (along with Vendetta) but proven to be versatile against ANY type of opponent. He's got a long road ahead, though, if he wants to be a champ again.

Next up, we have Shockwave, from Team G-Force! Most notorious as MW Vengeance champion, and the Barrier killer, Shockwave has been one of most recognized and competitive bots for seasons. This cool clamp-and-lift design has shown what it takes to be the best.

I'm gonna go with SW here, actually. These designs really don't look like they were designed to take each other on. But I think Shockwave could recupe from earlier failures and beat TTH.

Iiiiii...would give it to The Thwacking Head here, just barely though. Shockwave can grapple hold of TTH from the front here and take him to the hammer, but TTH can overhead thwack him while caught and that would do damage. Plus TTH's faster and can push harder, so he can get to Shockwave's sides a lot more. I'd say Shockwave would win damage by a bit, but TTH would win aggression by a bigger amount, if this went to a JD. Shockwave has KO potential though, but not enough for me to see him win.

The Thwacking Head.

And this iteration of Shockwave is actually a lot better, imo, than some of the newer ones, and should be more capable at taking down TTH

Nope it's before Reckoning. The Reckoning and Carnage Shockwaves had one singular crushing beak.

Shockwave would probably have a hell of a time getting a real solid grip on Thwacking Head, so yeah.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.
