THE BUTCHER'S CIRCUS
This is a fairly straightforward tournament: SHW, 16 entries, 4 groups of 4 each, top 2 of each group advance to playoffs. Ties get broken via play-in matches. Understand? Good.

Entries close on August 31st, 2020.
Tourney begins on September 10th, 2020
THE CIRCUS'S RULES
We'll be using Noah's ruleset: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17GZ ... htJvk/edit

Another thing to note: no salt over results. You disagree with one? State why calmly. If you decide to be a dick about it instead, have fun with a FF loss the next week. Continue to salt? You're out of the tournament.

THE CIRCUS

Here it finally is. Credit to Tri, he fully made this.
HAZARDS:
  • OOTA Zones: The OOTA zones are in the middle of the arena. In order to get a bot over, you have to have a decently powerful flipper (4+ power). And in case you’re wondering: you can only get a bot over the high-walls if you have a 26 power flipper :heck:
  • Floor “”Spinners””: 1 minute after both bots leave their starting circles, the circles become floor “”spinners””. The quotes are there because they don’t do damage like conventional spinners, but instead disorient. You won’t be able to get KOs, but bots with the proper stats can utilize them to control their opponents.

Dammit beaten to first
Wow, no last minute swap out. I too am impressed.
Wait, what do you mean it's not 23:59 PM? the fuck
Also what in the actual fuck is that arena, i love it.
Evaccania DOOM
Refer to it as just "DOOM" if you don't want to spell the entire thing instead of using the acronym ED

4WD murder drum, spins in vertical.
The drum is single tooth, has two motors and belts for the sake of redundancy.
Has rollers on top so it can still move and spin when flipped, can get upright again by hitting something.
The wedges come in:
  • Flat Wedge (shown in first image): big flat hinged wedge, phisically unable to move up so it doesn't get hit by the spinner, not even with the bot flipped.
  • Wedgelets: Two individually hinged wedgelets, probably a better idea tbh. Have more freedom in movement as there isn't risk of the getting hit by the spinner but still limited to not get stuck under the bot.
  • No wedge: Self explanatory, probably useful against horizontal spinners i guess.

I'm planning on doing one hell of a MASSACRE!

Standard Config: Speed: 7 / Traction: 6 / Torque: 1 / Weapon: 9 (5 Lifter / 5 Grabber / 5 Puncher) / Armour: 7
Plow Config: Speed: 7 / Traction: 6 / Torque: 1 / Weapon: 5 / Armour: 11 (+4 wedge)

What do you mean, SHW? A unicorn magicked it or something.
Anyway, ToG is a 4WD lifter-grabber-puncher, built for KO by OotA in any ring you can throw it in. Nimble and efficient, it can run a hinged front wedgelet array with its grabber, or a new, even beefier, shock-mounted and invertable plow for feistier opponents, at the cost of the lifter and grabber.

SHW, huh? Well, why not. :P

THUNDERSNOW
Image
A versatile and strong ramming machine that takes influence from the likes of Panzer Mk4, Crusader and Vanguard, this huge 6WD ramming machine is the first SHW entrant in several years for Ice Cubed Robotics. Designed to expand on the telescopic rack-and-pinion fork system that was originally invented for Black Mamba, it's got a reinforced lifting scoop that can both bulldoze opponents effectively and soak up plenty of damage, good all-round protection from even the nastiest of spinners, plenty of speed and power from a low and wide six-wheel drivetrain... and it glows in the dark, too! Vicious as can be, this literally cold-hearted beast brings to the Circus the thrills, the chills... and soon, the kills...

DEFAULT
Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Torque: 4
Weapon: 3 (180-degree Lifting Scoop driven by geared electric motors, with attached rack-and-pinion forks for extra stability.)
Armour: 10

ARMOURED
Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Torque: 4
Weapon: 1 (same as above, just with a heavier scoop setup for better spinner resistance.)
Armour: 12 (+2 to front scoop, so 14/10)

Notes: Can both effectively self-right and run upside-down unimpeded, and both sets of forks on the scoop are removable if need be. Much like Black Mamba, the telescopic forks are mounted on a punching bar-like rack-and-pinion system that runs off the same motor as the lifter; which protrude outward when the Lifter opens, and retract when it closes, allowing it to more easily lift opponents and keep all its wheels on the ground without toppling over forward. Due to running off the same mechanism as the main weapon, it costs no extra points to use. Just for fun, it also has LED neon-effect underlighting on the main body. Named after the unusual type of thunderstorm that has blizzard-like snow for its main precipitation instead of rain.

BOX. REMASTERED

BOX RETURN. BOX SMASH PUNY SPINNERS ONCE AND FOR ALL

4WD BOX. Rear wheels are hinged. Has two removable independently hinged wedges and a pneumatic spike that's 3 feet in length. Has two srimechs on the sides and one on the back that can self right it from the top as well.

Speed: 1 Traction: 5 Torque: 5 Weapon: 3 (1 side srimechs/1 rear srimech, 1 spike) Armor: 15

Long forks:

Many Wedgelets with standard flipper (can use the long-forked flipper too)
Speed: 7 Traction: 6 Torque: 2 Weapon: 3 Armour: 12
Two-wheel driven LP-Pneumatic flipping arm (only the black and white bit is the arm). The drive isn’t too torquey so it shouldn’t wheelie and it doesn’t have much room to wheelie anyway with the guard on the back. Is invertible thanks to the stopper ‘horns’ on top and also has stopper eyes like it’s little brother. The flag is purely for decoration and it will come off easily. The Flipping-Arm has around about Fourty-degrees of travel. May change entry later but I think it’ll stick.

Shuffling flipper, directly copies Pitter Patter's shuffling mechanism. If I say nothing, im using the wedge. fork config is pretty much for one matchup. no im not telling you if it's you.

Reserving for this. Idk what I'll enter though as I literally only have one CAD bot and haven't played a robot combat video game for several months at this point

Edit: I don't have a motivation to make any new bots atm, so I suppose I'll enter the single Alex bot I got from the giveaway

SHW: Not-a-Jules Bot

Stats:
5/4/1/12 (11 weapon/1 lifter)/8 (Normal)
5/4/1/10 (9 weapon/1 lifter)/ 10 (+2 lifter) (Anti-HS)

Powershaft is the bigger brother of Powerdrive, 4WD and has two configurations to help deal with a different opponent, the weapon is a vertical disc.
