30 stat points total

8 people

5 categories (speed, torque, traction, armour, weapon)

4 weight classes (LW, MW, HW, SHW)

1 bot per weight class

1 arena (ARC Arena)

The twist? Before the line-ups go up, all the robots are randomly scrambled around and end up in the hands of other people. Those are your robots until the end!

This is a single-elimination tournament that will run alongside Bot-O-Rama, for those three weeks. No 3rd place playoffs.

Latest ARC Rules and Regulations apply. Also, I will forcibly remove troll-y entrants. :P

Get entering. :proud:

2WD lifter. Interchangeable pitchfork/plow lifter arms. (lifter arm can rotate ~3 degrees down, 120 degrees up). easily self-rights.

Speed: 8
Torque: 3
Traction: 7
Weapon: 5
Armor: 7 (+2 weapon)

MW: Glass Cannon II

Image
it's sleeker, has a better self-righting pole, and won't kill itself in 5 hits any more!

Kiwi drive (3 wheel omni) shell spinner with a direction-showing pole that will pretty much always let it self-right, given enough time

Speed: 4
Torque: 1
Traction: 2
Weapon: 15
Armor: 8

HW: MC Hammer

Image

4WD with a hinged plow up front. Axe is designed to dent and rip through opponents, while being unlikely to get stuck in their armor. can self-right, wheels are exposed at the front and back to help with escaping wedges.

Speed: 6
Torque:1
Traction: 5
Weapon: 11
Armor: 7 (+1 to plow)

SHW: Angry Goat II
Wait no! hold off on the tomatoes! I swear it's a lot better now!

Image
see! it's reflector shield instead :v:

Image
Image
Image

both ends of the robot have 2 possible attachments - the front has either a tall plow (mostly just for the lulz) or a short plow, while the rear has a pointed wedge (not invertable), or 3 wedgelets (invertable, has spikes on the bottom, same as on the top). all attachments are hinged. 8WD.

Standard attachment is short plow + wedgelets

Speed: 8
Torque: 7
Traction: 4
Weapon: 0
Armor: 11

Team Blood Gulch

LW: O'Malley

A dual bar spinner with tribars. 2WD and has spikes along the outside for style and some ramming/defense purposes. The bars run on the same system.

Speed: 5
Traction: 4
Torque: 1
Armor: 6
Weapon: 14

Image

MW: Harbinger

An invertible 2WD thwackbot with two front setups. One is standard wedge in the style of ABR, and the other is a plow in the style of Team Blood Gulch ( :v: ). Features a heavy hammer head on the thwack tail.

Speed: 9
Traction: 9
Torque: 4
Armor: 8 (+1 Front Attachment)
Weapon: 0

Image

HW: Redemption Denied

He's 2WD, low to the ground, and has a massive flipping plate so good luck driving up and over before getting tossed in the air.

Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Torque: 3
Armour: 9
Weapon: 5

Image

SHW: Tali'Zorah

A ram bot that features a large solid-metal roller (like a rolling pin), and features an interchangable setup with a wedge. As noted by the picture, the wedge set-up features the wedge locked into position at a downward angle, while the arms can still rotate 360 degrees around the bot. There is a row of 5 spikes inside each of the plows, and the bot is invertible.

Speed: 8
Traction: 8
Torque: 5
Armor: 9 (+2 Front Attachment)
Weapon: 0

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

LW: VVV

Remember Smoke & Mirrors? Well now there's THREE of them! That's right! All three (Vitellary in yellow, Viridian in green, and Vermillion in red) are identical, with the anti-spinner scoop at one end and the piano wedges at the other. They're also perfectly invertible, though the scoop doesn't work inverted.

Speed: 6
Weapon: 0
Armor: 7 (+2 to the front scoop)
Traction: 3
Torque: 2

MW: Tesla's Revenge
Image

Tesla is back once again, now with a thicker wedge and lifter attachment for more fun. Basically, I can run the sawblade with the full dustpan, or the lifter which hides in the center of the old dustpan. If the saw isn't used, then I can use the weight gained from taking the saw out to beef up the front armor, to fight horizontal spinners better. This is done in a fashion similarly to ACCount's Loadout, so the two bases have the same stats, just with beefed up weapon or armor. Both robots can self-right, and the lifter attachment makes it invertible as well.

Tentative stats:
Saw arm
Speed: 6
Weapon: 10 (multiple weapons rule gives both weapons a power of 7)
Armor: 7
Traction: 5
Torque: 2

Lifter arm
Speed: 6
Weapon: 7
Armor: 10 (+3 to the front armor including the side arms but not including the wedge)
Traction: 5
Torque: 2

HW: Malacoda
Image
Big-ass vertical spinner with some finger wedges in the front (which can be removed to fight spinners) and a big flat wedge in the back (to fight spinners).

Speed: 4
Weapon: 14
Armor: 8 (+2 to the back wedge)
Traction: 3
Torque: 1

SHW: phantasmic slammer

Team Mongoose
"The Colour of Awesome"

LW: No Exit

Image

2WD double-sided flipper. Rounded body shell to deflect attacks. Green lights are forward, red lights are backward. Can attach bollards on top to prevent monster-trucking at the cost of invertibility. Removable hinged wedges on either side, flipping wedge can be replaced with the wider RAMP attachment for fighting spinners. Can self-right.

Spd: 7
Tra: 6
Tor: 3
Wep: 5
Arm: 9

MW: Revolutions Per Minute

Image

4WD invertible ring spinner. Weapons are laid out so they work much the same way when the robot is upside down, and sharply angled so they can kick an opponent into the air should their ground clearance be great enough to get underneath. Fist depicts which way forwards is on the robot so the driver doesn't get lost. That's about it.

Spd: 5
Tra: 2
Tor: 1
Wep: 15
Arm: 7

HW: MiDAS

Image

6WD box-type machine with a lifter/electric axe combo. Lifting arms work together, and the axe can self-right the robot both forwards and on the backswing if needs be. That's why it sticks out of the back like that. Side skirts for defense against wedges, angled at the back so the rear wheels maintain contact with the ground. They can be removed to allow for a scoop to be attached to the front if it's facing a spinner.

Spd: 6
Tra: 5
Tor: 2
Wep: 10
Arm: 7

SHW: Ganymede

Image

3WD Omni-wheeled robot with a big spinning ring at the base with two giant teeth for carving things up. Alien head features bouncy antennae for some good fun. Because every instantly memorable robot has a decent amount of character, I find. Not invertible, cannot self-right. Might go scooting across the floor using its chassis as one giant wheel.

here's some robots motherfuckers

LIGHTWEIGHT
DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY

One big vertical disc with an unusual 5 wheel setup to make it work properly when inverted, that's what this is. When it turns to the left, the left wheel will reverse, and both the right wheel and the middle wheel go forward.

Speed: 5
Traction: 4
Torque: 2
Armor: 8
Weapon: 11

Image

MIDDLEWEIGHT
JANUS

Janus is back! 1 Clusterbot, 2 wedges, both with electric powered invertible weaponry, one a front-hinged flipper, the other a rear hinged lifter.

Speed: 6
Traction: 6
Torque: 5
Armor: 5
Weapon: 2

Image

HEAVYWEIGHT
GIVE WAY

Once a middlweight, it is a fecking skirted drum on omni wheels! What I was considering here is that direction wise your ordinary robot has got 2 attack modes, forwards and backwards, 0

<big>Chaotic Robotics</big>

LW: Translaytor 2
Not enough spin.
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/YI8SN3m.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' /><img src="http://i.imgur.com/ybcZXv5.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' />

-Speed: 12
-Traction: 3
-Torque: 1
-Weapon: 3
-Armor: 11

After just barely missing playoffs in its debut, Translaytor was pulled back into the shop for revamping. Still 1WD and vaguely wok shaped, the main new feature is the tooth shape: it now deals damage effectively regardless of the direction of rotation. The new chassis is also slightly shorter than the last version's.

<hr />
MW: Blackfoot
Finally&#33;
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/BL5Ylyn.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' /><img src="http://i.imgur.com/6ZLXyTM.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' />

-Speed: 6
-Traction: 6
-Torque: 2
-Weapon: 6
-Armor: 10

You can tell this is an older design by the floor :v: Tracked rear-hinged flipper with an anti-wedge setup (featuring hinged front wedgelet-type things) and an anti-spinner setup. NOT A CLUSTERBOT :v: The back is rounded to aid in self-righting and allow the tracks to touch the ground if the front has been lifted. It was originally going to be my entry for FRR, but plans changed.

<hr />
HW: Catastrophic Failure
Named for what its opponent is about to have.
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/MrhRbo9.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' /><img src="http://i.imgur.com/GVDExPe.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' />

-Speed: 5
-Traction: 5
-Torque: 1
-Weapon: 13
-Armor: 6

4WD vertical spinner. The disc is separated down the middle to allow support teeth to hold it up/act like wedges. The entire weapon assembly is hinged so it works both ways up. Hinged skirts on the side and front to screw over any bad wedges that may or may not come around. Was a candidate replacement for Whirlwind in FRR.

<hr />
SHW: Greed
That looks familiar...
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/QYrJXJJ.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' /><img src="http://i.imgur.com/Z2b59o5.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' /><img src="http://i.imgur.com/dKxlj31.png" alt="Posted Image" width='400' height='260' />

-Speed: 7
-Traction: 7
-Torque: 5
-Weapon: 0
-Armor: 11

Alternate path of evolution for Suplex, my MW quarter-finalist in the last Ruination. It is primarily an overhead thwack; however, the arm is shaped specifically to sort of latch on to the opponent's rear and allow Greed to drag them around. The arm also has side spikes for horizontal thwacking. Anti-spinner wedge included. The blue things on the forked setup are sprung bits that work a bit like one-way spike strips: easy to drive up, but a pain to back over. This, in theory, makes it difficult to escape once wedged. The treads on the sides of the wheel pods allow for some traction if lifted from the side.

<hr />
If any of these are too weird, let me know and I'll whip up something more conventional to replace it.

Team 57

Tenative Lineup

LW: Electric Angel
Image
2WD Rammer. Tries to catch opponents in the white part and ram them into the wall or hazards.

Stats
Speed: 8
Traction: 6
Torque: 6
Armour: 10 (+ 1 to front bow thing (the white part))
Weapon: 0

MW: Remi
Image

Consider this a test run for Remi before Backlash.
Remi has a 40lb 3-toothed drum spinner at the front, with tank tread drive and sides angled at 15 degrees. The robot is completely invertable. 2 of the two teeth of the drum are sharp, designed to pierce and rip up opponents. The third tooth is blunt, which allows the drum to fling bots upwards, possibly onto their sides. Of course, once the weapon is spinning, its near impossible to tell which tooth will hit.
Stats:
Speed: 6
Traction: 3
Torque: 3
Armour: 6
Weapon: 12

HW: Chino
Image

Totally not Parasite from Hammerfall. Also Judges you from behind its powerful spinning weapon.
Stats:
Speed: 6
Traction: 3
Torque: 1
Armour: 7
Weapon: 13

SHW: Brain Power

(Zoomed in on the hinge in case no one believes me)

4wd Front-Hinged flipper. Based off a meme-ish song in the rhythm game community (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaCWNFK7yR4). Front wedge bit is hinged with about 30 degrees of rotation. Two wheels stick out at the front to allow the bot to reposition before self-righting with the flipper.
Stats:
Speed: 6
Traction: 3
Torque: 3
Armour: 8
Weapon: 10
