LW:

Dr Robotnik vs War Bastard

Double disc vs single big disc. Both bots get their weapons up to speed and CRASH! Sparks flying in all directions this way and that, but neither recovers fast enough to capitalize. Both bots regroup however and come back on yet another charge! CRASH! More sparks flying everywhere, the crowd are sure getting their moneys worth today with this battle. Once again, the two aren't able to take advantage of the other, this sort of thing happens twice more, before War Bastard manages to sneak around to sides and get a quick shot at the side of Robotnik. After a short while, Robotnik gets his own back with a shot to the sides. The two go weapon to weapon a few more times before the stress takes its toll on both machines as they eventually start to power down and come to a stop. Upon this happening, Josh turns Robotnik around and uses the wedge to shove War Bastard into a corner where he eats two shots before the buzzer sounds.

Aggression: 8-7 War Bastard
Damage: 8-7 Dr Robotnik
Strategy: 8-7 Dr Robotnik

Dr Robotnik wins via a 23-22 decision and advances to the Semi-Finals.

Zadkiel vs. Cherax

Cherex comes out at the disc spinner and begins spinning when he gets close, trying to beat the weapon away. This doesn

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

LW:

Red Zone vs. Dr. Robotnik

Dr. Robotnik gets directly up to speed before Red Zone can get in there. Chris tries to get the hit directly into the center of the plow but no dice. Instead, Josh manages to get the side of the plow and swat it upwards on Red Zone's hinge, allowing Robotnik to get a massive shot on the main body, crumpling that corner. Red Zone gets back in and takes a minor hit, managing to score it directly in the center of his plow, and takes Robotnik across the arena. Robotnik is able to shift about enough to throw Red Zone's lining off with the hammer. Red Zone repositions and shoves Robotnik, but Robotnik slips away again, so Red Zone has to content himself with slamming Robotnik against the wall and pinning him. He turns to use the lifters and snags Robotnik. Finally Josh's machine is sent to the hammers, but only 10 seconds of it since Red Zone was already delayed in pinning him. Robotnik comes back out and gets another shot, but on the plow, which dents it a bit. Nonetheless Red Zone collects him against and slams him into the wall. Robotnik escapes again and finds the side of the plow again, kicking it up and tearing at the previous spot he hit, crumpling it even further. Red Zone is spun away, but comes back in strong with a ram against Robotnik's disc, which further dents the plow but halts Robotnik's disc a bit. Another shove and the disc is now slow enough again that Red Zone can slam Robotnik back into the pulverizer. Robotnik however manages to escape, and continues to get shots on the plow, sometimes on the sides of it and late in the match takes out Red Zone's wheel. Red Zone tries to keep the plow pointed as Robotnik keeps moving in, but Robotnik gets pushed over the killsaws in the dying seconds. Jesus christ man, who won this?

Aggression: 11-4 Red Zone
Damage: 14-1 Dr. Robotnik
Strategy: 9-6 Red Zone

Dr. Robotnik wins by a 24-21 judges' decision and advances to the Lightweight Finals!

Airazor vs. Zadkiel

The always intimidating Airazor speeds away from the starting square while Zadkiel follows suit. The disc is up to speed by the time they collide. It looks like Lian was trying to ride the disc up to the claw but ends up pinging off the front of Airazors wedge. They fly apart, but Airazor is quick on the follow up and gets right back at Zadkiel. Lian just manages to get his bots weapon pointed at his opponent and the wedge absorbs another hit. But here comes an opening for Airazor and Zadkiel gets scooped up and driven over the killsaws. Airazor gives Zadkiel about 10-15 seconds of decent action with the saws before Zadkiel gets loose. Zadkiel is quickly getting back on the offensive and gets in a couple more shots on the front wedge which is finally starting to show the wear and tear of the fight, but is holding up pretty well. Airazor scoops up Zadkiel and gets him over the saws once again. Kody follows this up by pinning the spinner against the spiked wall. As we get closer to the end of the time limit Zadkiel gets in a good shot that spins Airazor around enough for a shot on one of the side claws. Airazor slams Zadkiel back into the wall right before the buzzer.

Aggression: 10-5 Airazor
Damage: 10-5 Zadkiel
Strategy: 9-6 Airazor

Airazor wins 24-21 and advances to the LW Finals!

MW:

Jackal VS Stingray

Jackal raced out and managed to slip under the forks. Stingray managed to swing around and thwack Jackal away. The second charge comes in and Stingray manages to weasel his way under Jackal. Due to Jackal's wriggling, Stingray has to settle for a wall slam. From there, Jackal really turns up the heat, he gets underneath and keeps control of Stingray and it's off to the pulverizer. Stingray is trying to get free, but Jackal has him right where he wants him and holds him there the full 30 seconds. Once Jackal has to back off, Stingray gets right in his face and slams him hard against the wall. Jackal bounces off and lands right to the side of Stingray, where he shovels him up for some hazard damage. The match kinda goes on like this for a while. Stingray then manages to flip Jackal and roughly shoves him into the hammers for a little payback, eventually the buzzer sounds. Was the comeback too late?

Aggression: 8-7 Jackal
Damage: 10-5 Jackal
Strategy: 10-5 Jackal

Jackal wins via a 28-17 decision

Mimete vs. Freezerburn

This was a pretty fun match, but fairly simplistic in structure. Freezerburn did a pretty nice job with its hit and run approach for a better part of the first minute putting some good hits on various parts of Mimete. As we neared the halfway point Mimete started taking over the fight and slamming Freezerburn around and tries to force him along to the hammers, but they get hung up on the spiked wall. Eventually Mimete has to back away. Freezerburn tries to go back to hit and run, but Mimete scoops him up again and this time has a better path to the pulverizers. Freezerburn takes a few good hits from the hazard, but still is in decent enough shape. He gets in a couple more shots before getting trapped under the hammers again as time expires.

Aggression: 12-3 Mimete
Damage: 13-2 Freezerburn
Strategy: 9-6 Mimete

Mimete wins 23-22 and advances to the MW Finals!
