succotash_54

Mar 23 2016, 08:49 AM

(long ass post)[/quote]Did you actually wordfilter "Trump" to "Drumpf"? :v:

Here's a list of every organization Trump owns. (couldn't find a better link) Trump's filed for bankruptcy on a company about 4 times out of this many.

The furthest Trump has gone to "incite violence" is him saying that he'd like to punch a protester in the face. That's obviously not the same thing as giving his protesters orders to brutally fuck any dissenters up. And of course his "small loan of a mmmillyun dollars" would sound pretty ridiculous. 7 figures? Come on. But you have to keep in mind that Trump is worth ~4 billion. That's a 4000% return from the initial million he received.
I kind of agree with you on narcissism though, his hair looks pretty silly and his skin looks like something that came straight out of Jersey Shore. Guy probably spends way too much on hair gel and spray-on tans.

The rest of your post after the first paragraph or 2 is mostly just namecalling and "yeah well at least the SANE people such as myself don't support trump" so I glazed over it. I'm hoping that the GOP doesn't pull the "hah gotcha sucker, you got pranked bro" card at a figurative brokered convention. That would reek of corruption. Can you imagine if Kaisch went from having about a 1/12th of the needed delegates to become the candidate to going up against Hillary/Sanders? Same deal with Cruz, but him getting nominated would obviously much less bizarre because of his currently larger delegate pool.

I would definitely prefer Sanders to Clinton. Sanders and Trump are actually pretty similar in that they're both fairly anti-establishment.

Come on man, you asked for an example of system gaming, succotash gave you an example. The fact that for most of his organizations that example doesn't apply does not cancel out the fact that he did do it.

Yes, I can genuinely see why Trump'd find that a small loan. No evil intentions behind that. Still, it shows a very poor understanding of the position of the average American, which is a quality I'd want in a president.

You listed all of those things and didn't even give any examples. :-/

(seriously, I just reread succotash's post and failed to find ANY namecalling)

He probably took issue with my saying "Republicans and sane people alike don't want him," insinuating that only insane people want him elected.

But here, here's something to occupy your time...

In other news, it seems that Bernie is experiencing quite a surge now.

Has absolutely dropped the mic on Hillarys' refusal to debate him because "he's being mean." I definitely think that that will help tremendously in New York.

Here's to chipping away at that lead!

That damn bird started all of this. If Bernie pulls this out I say we nominate the bird for VP.

In other news, after much research and thought I have made up my mind that if Bernie doesn't get the Dem nod, I will be voting for Jill Stein of the Green Party come November.

Please Bernie win New York.

Not just to win the primary and win the presidency but to give all of us the chance to watch the media's collective shit-fit that would grow increasingly desperate and insane and hilarious with each win after New York.

Nothing gives me greater sexual pleasure than watching a bunch of rich sponges cry out in terror contemplating the possibility that a Democratic Socialist could become president of the United States of America. I can just picture the anguish and confusion in these fuckers' faces realizing this man would nominate very young Supreme Court justices who don't think corporations are people. Better still, the realization these people would have that the Federal Reserve would be in the hands of a man who would run it like an actual central fucking bank--an actual regulatory body of government, and not a free-money machine for their friends... that must be a scary thought indeed!

New York's gonna be an incredibly tough one to pull off. It wouldn't surprise me if she's betting the farm on her Senatorial stint helping her sweep up New York. Might not be enough to put her over the top, but it she can clean up there, the ones she does pick up in the remainders (even though Bernie might win in each of those other states, she'll still get some delegates) could give her enough to close the lid on it.

Bernie will never take her as a VP... she's too establishment. And he won't accept a VP nod under her, because the Vice-Presidency is a largely impotent position, thus preventing him from accomplishing anything he wants to.

New York should be very bad on paper. Closed primaries, Clinton's won statewide elections there before. Voter registration deadline was in october, so anyone who previously wasn't voting who learned about Sanders in the time between can't do anything.

I don't know that the home court advantage is that meaningful... she is a carpetbagger after all. Sanders has actually lived in NY. Clinton was given a tour for a few weeks and then lived in DC. Progressives in NY have resented Clinton and considered her too hawkish and economically center-right for such a blue state... but nobody's challenged her because they feared the money and power of the Clinton machine. And Republicans mounted half hearted efforts to challenge her.

If NY had open primaries I think it could be another michigan. But with closed primaries... and unfortunately many of the large east coast states voting in a couple weeks have closed primaries as well. Sanders has yet to win any state with closed primaries. So I think we will see the empire crush the plucky rebellion in coming weeks.

Unless he nails that debate...

Sanders will dominate upstate. That's where they think of Clinton as carpetbaggers, and Sanders tends to do well in rural areas. But downstate, it's diverse and urban enough that they don't think of Clinton as a carpetbagger there. My guess is if they end up tying, upstate will be 65-35 Sanders and 35-65 Clinton downstate.

I've been watching the Bernie phone banking site and they have been blowing up downstate NY. 100+ calls per minute. Plus all the canvassing that has been happening. I'm hoping that the word is getting out more in the past few weeks.
