Speak freely but don't be stupid about it or you'll find yourself on the last train to Clarksville, ya dumbass.

Just thought I'd get the ball rolling on this for the initial planning stage.

Who's in this year?

Hopefully, we can match at least 6 from last year.

Not me. Money's being saved to move out west in October.

Yeah I know, I've let you all down again. Hopefully there will be an ARCCon '11 in the future...

I'm not coming. Nobody's going to take a 13 year old boy with a hacked Battlebots toy that just so happened to beat 7 time California antweight champion Shazbot seriously.

I most definitely did.

Seeing as it's a basic Battlebots toy with the Vlad lifting spikes and the DooAll rear wedge, it's als not invertible, which is something I was worried about.

WHAT HAPPENED:

Round 1 vs Catalyst for Catastrophe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZY-7jR54YzE

I lost via Tapout. He ripped my wheel off.

Round 2 vs Rambot: There's no video of this, but that's good, because it was the most boring match in the tourney. I shoved the hacked Battlebots toy out of the arena 2 minutes into the match.

Round 3 vs Sporkinok: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipcIMTrp ... re=related

I lost via a judges' decision. I knew I should've tried to thwack him with my spikes...

Grudge Match vs Rambot: There's no video of this either, because it was the 2nd-most boring fight in the tourney. Same result, except it took me 1 minute 30 seconds to shove him out.

Grudge Match vs Shazbot: Here's the thing: I have video of it, but I'm having trouble uploading it to Youtube, so I'll just tell you he couldn't flip me over and he accidentally drove his wheels out of the arena, allowing me to push him out and get the win.

Rumble: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xpz_SRii-mI

I was having some trouble with driving, so, like an idiot, I accidentally drove myself out of the arena.

Yes, but only if you give us $20!

No seriously, anyone that can make it is more than welcome to come.

Granted it would have to be run past Paul again, but his house is the location of choice, and for those that don't know, it is located in northern Pennsylvania.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

I'll call Paul sometime this to confirm that he's on board for another ARCCon. Until then, we can see who is interested in coming this year to make sure. Philip? John? Alex?

June would probably be the best time for me, but I could do July as well. Anyone else coming?

As it stands now, the time wouldn't make much of a difference so late June/early July (the usual timeframe) sounds pretty good to me. There are certainly others here that would need to have the timeframe planned around them more.

Unfortunately I'll be in Afghanistan until November so this year is out. However, 2011 is a possibility and after that I'll hopefully be stationed in Kentucky.

I'm fucking coming. I don't care what happens, I'm coming. I'm 8 odd hours away, no reason I shouldn't be coming.

Excellent. It sucks that John won't be down this year, but hopefully we'll get enough people to possibly match or exceed the record we got last year. We can only hope.
