It's the most boring type of robot imaginable aside from a straight up cheese wedge: a 360 degree lifting brick. However, I've tried to put a Monsterworks twist on this one and make it at least marginally more interesting by adopting a military theme. The headlights and other body cladding are removable and the exhaust pipes are functional since this thing is powered by an axial diesel engine ripped out of Brimstone and repurposed. They're basically the only type of ICE engine not known to stall and flood when flipped. Also, the sound of a fucking diesel and gouts of black smoke pouring out of eight exhaust pipes is badass. The stats will probably be stolen shamelessly from Hellhound so that Laz and I will be even. As for weightclass, any advice or ideas would be appreciated.

Speed: 8 / Traction: 8 / Torque: 4 / Weapon: 1 / Armour: 9 (+2 plow)[/quote]Obligatory killjoy moment here: you said "I imagine this thing spewing out clouds of black diesel smoke and then you just see two beams of light shining through the moment before it hits you" in the chat. I take it you didn't mean it literally since purposefully obstructing the views of drivers would be illegal under RFL rules (they don't allow like, smoke machines and shit like that).

/killjoy moment

I can understand that visual being fun though, and I quite like the aesthetic you've gone for on it. I'd suggest it be a Heavyweight

It's got great knockback and unlike Hellhound, it doesn't break the rules on the bonus :v: very good. Though I am a bit worried about an undercutter sliding up the plow and hitting one of the lifting arms

1. Sylandro, I already have my bricky brick in LW: Firebrand, though I really do need more high quality LWs since I only have the aforementioned Firebrand and Double Rainbow.

2. Gabe, stop punching holes in my happiness!!! But yeah, I know, and there's no way it's gonna spew enough smoke to actually make a difference. Like you said, it's just a fun visual. As for putting it in HW, any particular reason?

3. Drew, the ability to stay on top of opposing machines like a pitbull is one of the reasons that I gave it tracks (at least in the CBC rules). When I was designing the plow and the arms for it, I thought about the possibility of those arms getting hit. That's one of the reasons why the armoured portion wraps around so far back. Also, aesthetics.

In all seriousness though, I do like this design a lot, reminds me a lot of a dieselpunk World War I tank with the way the scoop and the tracks are laid out. It's like Siphai's Tank, except considerably cooler. :P

Valentine, you've just been promoted to the rank of second-coolest Alex on here, behind only yours truly. You completely nailed my inspiration for this one, complete with an admirable reference to WWI tanks (which were, and remain, the coolest). You might have noticed that dieselpunk is a common aesthetic conceit among my robots. I'm partial to cyberpunk, raypunk/atompunk, candlepunk, and some of the less over the top steampunk as well. As soon as I get a new PC that can run a top-flight rendering engine, I'm going to be going crazy with some of those motifs. In particular, I relish the challenge of trying to bring a candlepunk design to life with some degree of realism.

It's a 4WD undercutting spinner with a removable hinged wedge and spikes. Basically a Snijmachine clone, but with a skull theme, since skulls are cool and Dylan's a cool guy.

But yup, I could definitely notice the motifs going on there with your machines- and hopefully once the rendering engine comes into play, they should look even cooler. Necroblade's awesome as well, love the skull-shaped disc.
