Maybe. On closer inspection, I see it is the case, so apologies for that. Getting worse in my old age. :v:

Things happened, decided to try and think of a way to use the walker bonus without creating a whirling deathball of doom, this was the result. Don't worry, the stats won't be stupid. In fact, they're gonna look pretty standard for a spinner, except for some extra weapon and armor and possibly traction. I'm doing my best to use the walker bonus responsibly here. On a side note, I gave it hinged skirts because why not.

Seriously, though, that's a very neat looking design. With wheels, it would definitely be a strong contender, I think it'll be just as potent as a walker, if not better. Skirts are a good touch as well, hopefully we can see it in action some time down the road.

Could this realistically be considered a middleweight? It might replace Crescent in FRR if yes.

Edit: doing it anyway, will retract if it causes problems.

Would it really work as an undercutter if the top blade is in line with the bottom blade? Could you rotate the top blade 90 degrees so you've got the blades hitting at different times instead of hitting at the same time?

Mad Turtle

Shuffling ring spinner. Stupidly short. Ring is friction-driven. The wheels on the corners are not powering the ring and are there strictly to hold it up. Chassis is (just barely) tall enough that the ring bumping the ground when the robot moves shouldn't happen.

that thing is gong to have significant clearance issues, and is very likely to send itself out of control with how low the ring is. that said, it does looks cool

So yesterday I started to make a flipper and today it turned into an overhead thwack.

Image

I have no idea if the thwacking part would work but I'm posting this anyway because I like how it looks.

Pretty good looking design there. Obviously won't be quite as good inverted, but could be a decent combatant otherwise. I'd perhaps try to get the thwack head flush with the ground to make it easier to get underneath other bots myself.
