Group photo! My somewhat finalized FRR team:

Image

Appearing from left to right: Escape Plan, Mega Plowdozer, Rosebud, and Crescent. I did the scaling for weight classes the best I could.

Looks pretty good in terms of scaling there. Nice work.

all these team photos make me wish my team scaled to each other properly :v:

Brute Force gets a face lift:

Image

Still the stupid fast rammer it was meant to be, now with some new features:
-The front drive motors are housed inside the front wedge. The idea is to weigh the wedge down a bit so it can reliably get under other hinged wedges and maybe particularly weak lifters.
-Hinged thwack tail/keep-away stick for damage and/or keeping nasty stuff away.
-Removable hinged side panels to make life hard for opposing wedges.
-4WD and a wide wheelbase.
-Some sweet rims.

Currently considering a stat setup along the lines of:
-Speed: 10
-Traction: 9
-Torque: 2
-Weapon: 0
-Armor: 9 (+2 front wedge)

I'm gonna revisit the armor bonus wording later because I'm riding that 1/3 of the surface area limit pretty hard, but you get the idea.

I honestly think I would give that at least another torque point. You're going to find a harder time pushing stuff around with only 2 torque, not to mention it will take a ridiculous amount of time for you to actually reach you top speed of 10.

As for the design. I did state on Skype I liked it. Though if you're going to be using the thwack as a keep-away stick, a powerful spinner is instead going to rip it right off with only 7 armour.

Seriously though, those rims...

Maybe I should move the armor bonus to the tail then... and I suppose I could drop 1 speed for a torque boost without breaking the spirit of the bot.

I think you're better off not trying to use the thwack tail as the anti-spinner protection. It's much easier for a spinner to go for corner damage on it.

Really liking your cads, man. They have improved dramatically since you joined!

I've stopped rushing through my designs and I've fixed up the lighting since I first started. Nice to see that the extra effort is showing :)

Had the idea for this a few days ago, got around to making it, now dumping it here. Disc is split down the middle to allow everything to work. The belt is protected by a thin layer of polycarbonate. The entire weapon assembly is hinged to allow invertibility. Hinged skirts are removable for fights in which they wouldn't be good to have. Chassis texture didn't render for some reason, so just imagine it looks more like metal for now.

who gave you permission to repaint Archetype :v:

srsly, not sure how well the wedges will do but it's nice to see another vertical spinner

I'm really liking its look, and I actually think the wedges could be helpful :v:

I do worry about your lack of ground clearance (at least when inverted). especially since its a spinner, there is going to be debris around the arena that you will get stuck on

Quite a nice idea- though at the moment, I'd personally recommend making the arm assembly for the disc stronger, have the teeth on the disc two-sided so it can work effectively regardless of which way up it is, and have the two rear wheels come out the back so it can get off wedges more easily.
