SPARKEYS NEW 2D BOT SHOWCASE

Post by succotash_54 » Sun Jan 30, 2011 7:30 pm

A lot, but my concern is the wheels. I don't see those wheels keeping the body from dragging on the ground, though. Maybe one of the others here can answer that one for me, though.

That is either a vast, sprawling robot, or a miniscule, tiny human being.

Apart from that and the off centre circle it doesn't look that bad though, worryingly.

I'm getting the suspicion that it would be fairly easy for those bars to get torn off.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

All of Sparkey's bots should team up against Godzilla, I reckon.

Besides the wire rollcage thingy there (which could tangle the blade) it doesn't look bad. I like it.

I'm not much of a fan of having offset spinning bits like that - although it's well balanced you are introducing an area of weakness into the weapon which when it's hitting things and delivering over 50kj of energy you ideally want to avoid.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe one of the requirements for a bot to compete is that it actually has to fit in the arena.
