I figured Red Letter Media is big enough by now that at least some of you know of this guy. However, for those who don't and also recognize the Star Wars prequels as a heaping pile of shit, check out these reviews. Pretty much the greatest series of reviews ever.
Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace

Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones

Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

He also did Avatar and a lot of the Star Trek movies.

The Episode III review was the best Christmas gift ever.

The guy is brilliant. I like how instead of aiming for the obvious shitty things about the prequels (Jar Jar Binks, Padme dying of a broken heart), he criticizes obscure plot reasoning and the technical aspects of the films. It makes you realize how much of a failure each prequel is in every cinematic way.

Plinkett's thorough break down and anal sis is perfect, and his technical insight into what makes a film good or exciting definitely makes the review much more interesting than if they were going over the obvious points. His Avatar and Star Trek reviews are also pretty great.

I wish he'd redo the avatar review now that he can take footage other than from the trailers. Avatar is one of the laziest films I've ever seen in every aspect other than the visual effects. The fact that is made so much money is shameful.

Honestly the 3D glasses gave me a headache trying to watch it over my regular glasses, which was probably the worst part of the movie for me.
But I guess the movie shoving its Well Rendered cock into the definition of 'subtlety' was bad as well.

3D always rears its ugly head whenever hollywood is in financial trouble.
Expect it to disappear once again, then come back maybe 20 years from now.

hahaha... I didn't see it in theaters, but own it on DVD (Christmas present). Other than Michelle Rodriguez's tits, that movie was awful. Fern Gully meets Dances With Wolves.

Geez... I might be the only person that actually was able to enjoy Avatar. Sure the story was overall rather weak, but that doesn't automatically make it trash. Overrated would be a fair enough assessment, but there are worse movies out there that have made a lot of money.

I enjoyed it, but I can still complain about it.

Well of course. I just thought it was interesting that everyone else seemed to really hate it.

Prequels story lines always suck. A good example would be halo reach. They add in a tone of new stuff that got "destroyed" before the new games came around.
Red Letter Media
yeah but all of Halo was shit, poorly written, and had awful repetitive gameplay
