I know nothing about NASCAR but... why not I guess?

right it looks like we have a little too much demand so this is how it's gonna go

teams with stats are confirmed in. teams without stats, get them in quickly or risk your team being shrunk or denied entry altogether.

Reserve for three cars, I guess. Not a big fan of the points system, but it was pretty fun last time.

Kirk Kidd's probably gone. He burned out hard at the end of last season and has gone into rehab for an alcohol problem.

Aislin Sheehan couldn't hack it, so she's been cut. Attackfrog also entered another Aislin, so it'd just be weird having two.

I guess Johnny's coming back. He wasn't bad.

Some people (namely Alex) have complained that winning races didn't really do anything for you during the season. So:

Introducing the Chase for the Cup&#33; Similar to real NASCAR, for the final eight races of the season (so after Indy), 15 drivers will be locked into the battle for the championship. Winning a race in the regular season guarantees you a spot in the Chase. If there are less than 15 winners by the time this comes along, the rest of the field will be determined by the highest-placed drivers in points. Points will be reset at this point, with each win you earn in the regular season earning you 5 bonus points per win. The driver with the most points after Homestead will win the championship.

I know some people (like Adam) will probably hate me for adding the Chase, but really it's the easiest way to make sure that winning matters.

This system is subject to change as the off-season goes on.


***edit: Signups are technically full. However if you still want to enter, i will allow you to pre-emptively register UP TO TWO CARS in case teams don't get stats in soon. Teams without stats/driver names/sponsors by June 21 are subject to being culled.

Team owners with incomplete teams:
Adam - missing stats (downsizing to 2 cars gives your drivers each 20 more points)
Mystic - missing stats
Alex M - missing driver names and stats

Assume the new driver has the same stats as the old one. I'll work out the car points after I get off work tonight.
