Midnight Madness gets both high weapon bots in a row, must be rigged lol
Take a slow opener, work on gradually closing distance and limiting where they can go. Ensure they're always facing the crusher, and once they come in, slow them down as much as we can whilst crushing. We basically only need a few solid crushes in, and once we're inside, use what drivetrain we have to hamper their own movement somewhat. Aim is to deal damage for a KO, or warp the chassis enough that they can't drive normally so we can fully control the match. If we're able to get any guidance in, try to force them back into walls and corners, where there's less space to move. If we come free, just go back to the defensive strats from before and repeat.
Best of luck.

this is my second slow opponent without a wedge, so once again gonna end up using the clamp arms close together as long forks. don't start there though, if possible - start with them somewhat open (I want to be able to close them quickly), and try to flank behind his clamp arms with the normal wedge. bring them in to remove his wheels from the ground after I get him wedged, and then clamp him and feed him to hazards or whatever. if I'm prevented from flanking (wall camping, he keeps up with me) or I feel like I shouldnt be taking risks (so if he's pulling some weirdass shit), just go head to head (try to mix in aiming for clamp arm somewhat off-center or angle around the outside of it to keep him on his toes) with clamps close together. when I get under, lift him with them while ramming to make sure he doesn't get any sort of counter-clamp in.

that's the crux of things, really - as long as I can prevent him from getting in that clamp, I win. I have better everything with stats and wedge advantage. it's just playing the dance of don't die for 3 minutes with a vastly superior drivetrain.

if he gets at me and I'm in risk of being clamped, use my wedge lifter (the one that rotates downwards) to lift my entire body off the ground. he has a low-angle clamp, he'll bite down on air even with how slowly it lifts - he's just as slow. also have all the usual standard escape options of being fast and torque-ey, and having a billion weapons I can flail.
